Lawrence's "The Rainbow" sees impulsive young Ursula coming of age in pastoral England around the time of the Boer War. At school, she is introduced to lovemaking by a bisexual physical education instructress. While experiencing disillusionment in her first career attempt (teaching), she has an affair with a young Army officer, who wants to marry her. Unable to accept a future of domesticity, she breaks with him, and eventually leaves home in search of her destiny.

为了Paul mcgann而看，真帅真帅啊。挺喜欢独立女性的女主。不过有些地方没有看懂。
改编的很厉害啊，重点突出，导演思路很清晰。淡化父母辈的戏份（但是婚礼上父亲重要的发言倒是一点没省），删减外祖父母辈的故事，以厄休拉的故事为主线，突出女老师的角色，也侧面表现了矿工的悲惨生活和帝国殖民战争故事。超过期待值，只不过对于没看原著的可能不是太友好。美中不足是厄休拉并没有很美，而且虽然是为了体现她热情似火的性格，但有时候似乎太暴躁了
刚看完。无字幕，英语对白，强大的旁白大概是俄语的，稀有片源。名著改编，标准文艺片，风景、配乐极佳。
看不太懂，和彩虹的关系是什么，但是看出女主对自我思考的那一份独立，我想这就是本部影片的主线吧
